The Boyd brothers, John III and Lance, practice roping with makeshift props on the family ranch in Lower Greasewood, Arizona. The Boyd family has a strong rodeo tradition. Their father, John Jr., participates in a rodeo almost every weekend. He excels in steer wrestling, calf roping and team roping. Their 18-year-old sister, Kelly, is an avid barrel racer.
