In the heart of the Navajo Nation, cowboys sport the standard uniform of rodeo riders everywhere: Western hats, blue jeans and boots. But the hundreds of spectators in the stands are a cross section of Navajo people. As the announcer narrates the action, he switches effortlessly between English and rapid Navajo.
